Maryland Acupuncture Society
Dr. Tan is famous for his demonstrations which show and prove acupuncture treatments can get instant results, seconds after insertion of the needles. Participants will be able to apply the concepts immediately in practice and develop effective treatments. Discussions and hands-on demonstrations will allow attendees to see the Balance Method in a practical format. Day one includes the basic training on the Five Systems of the Balance Method. The Five Systems are based on Ba Gua relationships, as well as the Chinese Clock. Both new students, as well as experienced practitioners of the Balance Method, will benefit from this course. Cases are resolved in three easy steps: the meridian is identified which is the cause of the pain or disorder. the meridians are chosen which will balance the affected meridian(s). the points are chosen along the meridians which will be needled. Numerous cases will be discussed with the application of each of the Five Systems for each disorder.
On the second day, the treatment of internal disorders will be discussed. Dr. Tan will introduce the ideas of “Dynamic” and “Static” Balance. Dynamic balance includes how to construct a Yin/Yang Taiji image in your treatments. Static Balance includes a higher level application of the Six Systems that Dr. Tan uses as the foundation of his treatments. Many case studies will be discussed to assist students in understanding the material.
